Dischoops is a third generation derivative of Ultimate Frisbee, a hippie sport invented back in the 60's that lacks penalties, impartial referees and firm, consistent, non-arbitrary boundaries.
While Ultimate is enjoyed by millions around the world and is very fun & addictive, the game has remained eerily stagnant for decades and has never really experienced a revolutionary or evolutionary sea change that most other sports do on their way to maturity.
Dischoops changes all of that. The sport combines the best qualities of Ultimate Frisbee, the scoring mechanism of Goaltimate and a set of standardized/normalized rules borrowed from main stream sports such as basketball, football and soccer.
